Cynthia Sax is an author who I've long admired and the chance to read her story One Night With My Billionaire Master was irresistible for me. What would you risk for one night of true fulfilment ? Body, heart, soul? Arianna is starved of affection and tired of resisting sexy and totally off limits Logan but something's are inevitable. This loyal trusting woman is about to learn that love doesn't always have to come at a cost.

LOVED THIS-HEART-MELTING-FAMILY DRAMA & SCORCHING ROMANCE

ONE NIGHT WITH MY BILLIONAIRE MASTER (City Sizzle #1) SCORCHING ROMANCE-HEART-MELTING STORY

I purchased this book after reading the one-star review on another amazon site as it peaked my curiosity to see why the poor rating. I have always felt that books are gifts and they deserve respect as does the author unless they are written to do harm; this book did not do harm. I never read this author before and I am delighted that I purchased this book. I found this story to be a bit of an adult fairytale; with a wicked brother along with two wicked sisters and the out of wedlock daughter being treated like a second class citizen.

WHAT YOU’LL FIND IN THIS SULTRY ROMANCE; a cast of remarkably impressive and engaging characters, intriguing storyline, picturesque and dynamic scene descriptions, witty dialogue, camaraderie, family betrayal and drama, secrets revealed, heart-rending moments, pent-up-rage, skyrocketing jaw-dropping heart-pounding passionate romance, and a melt your heart conclusion leaving you wanting more.

Arianna has been dodging snide remarks about a reputation with men she has never been with for eons, she is also belittled daily by jealous siblings, and does not get the respect she deserves from her father. Even though she feels her father does not love her she is loyal to him and truly loves him. Logan a powerful billionaire has been attracted to Arianna for months and is determined to have her. He is captivated not only by her beauty but her loyalty, intelligence, sassy persona, and also trusts her; trust does not come easily to the dominant billionaire. After months of avoiding time alone with Logan, Arianna follows her heart to be with him in the hopes that he is true to his word in keeping their encounter a secret.

LOVED THIS FABULOUS fast paced well written eye-popping billionaire romance by a truly gifted author. The author does not disappoint by giving readers a romantic read that is mixed with a bit of reality and fantasy. Though the pages are filled with sensual unconventional romance, the story behind the romance is impressive, family drama at its best. Logan is totally trustworthy and is unequivocally devoted to Arianna. Together they blend well, perfectly matched and their romance is filled with fiery passion. I found this to be a most entertaining read and I look forward to reading more by this author. If you treasure fantasy romance this is a terrific book for your library. In the world of fantasy romance, the possibilities are endless and always fascinating. Without reservations. I recommend this book.

A Sultry Night With Mr. Ross

Their sultry night is phenomenal, but Logan vows to keep Arianna and protect her even is she doesn't believe she deserves a man like him. And when something threatens the couple, Arianna will see exactly what Logan will do for the woman he calls his.

Cynthia always brings her A-game and this book doesn't fail to deliver. She draws you in with each and every deliciously dirty words Logan utters and then leaves you craving for more. This is one short story that you will be glad to have read.

Fifth book of The Railway Series introduced Percy!

Percy is finally introduced in this fifth book of The Railway Series, joining Thomas, Edward, Henry, Gordon, James, Annie & Clarabel and Sir Topham Hatt (referred to as The Fat Controller). We always enjoy how the forward invites the reader in: "Dear Friends, News from the Line has not been good. The Fat Controller has been having trouble. A short while ago he gave Henry a coat of green paint; but as soon as he got his old colour back again, Henry became conceited. Gordon and James, too, have been Getting Above Themselves. I am glad to say, however, that the Fat Controller has, quite kindly but very firmly, put them In Their Place; and the trains are running as usual. I hope you like meeting Percy; we shall be hearing more of him later. The Author". There are four stories included within the book (Henry and the Elephant / Tenders and Turntables / Trouble in the Shed / Percy Runs Away) - it was first published in 1950, and this edition was first published in 2002. We love the old-fashioned feel of these books, and their small size (@ 4 1/2"h x 5 3/4"w), which is perfect for smaller hands. Our older grandson was about 2 1/2 when he became completely infatuated with Thomas, which led Grandpa and I to beginning our first collections for him... trains, annuals, but - first and foremost - The Railway Series!

There are 42 books in the series, the first 26 written by the Rev. W. Awdry, with the remaining 16 written by his son, Christopher (for whom the books were begun in the first place!) Our older grandson (almost 6 now) still enjoys his collections, but his younger brother (closing in on 2) is already showing strong interest - with another grandchild due in September, the Thomas collections have been a great investment for us.

If you're not looking to start a collection, read no further, but if you think you'd like to, we'll save you the trouble of looking up all of the titles. I'll list them in the "comments" below.

Enjoyed Clif's Book

Just finished this book last night. There are several areas in his book that spoke to me personally. I am an Urchin. I am a warm and fuzzy person. 2014 I vowed to change my habits. I've been reading tons of books trying to get past my fears. Reading this and other books, listening to Jim Rohn every day is really helping me be more confident. Seeing that other people like Clif started off the same way as I have really helps knowing that I can do this and will do this. Thanks Clif!

A Fun Enlightening Ride From Start To Finish!

If you ever read one book about how to succeed in Social Marketing....make it this one! Don't let the relatively small size of the book fool you. Clif has somehow managed to compile the most essential points on how to succeed in this exciting new wave of the future... and he does it with style and humor. (I found myself laughing out loud at his self-effacing wit.) He knows what he is talking about because he has been at the top and he has been at the bottom. There are heart breaking moments when he candidly shares his personal tragedies from the depths of despair. His courage and determination shines through as he describes his challenges and his victories with equal candor and humility. Clif says it best himself in this remarkable book. "My biggest accomplishment is the leaders that have spun off my team. Many of these leaders are doing better than I am today, and for that I'm so very proud. I am not a hero, I never was, I just helped people see that it's possible." In that statement perhaps lies the essence of his core character. He is willing to sacrifice himself and his time, in order to help everyone succeed. In his book, he clearly details the simple steps we all can take in order to make this system work for us and have fun doing it. As Clif says..."If it is not fun, why do it.

This guy writes like a 12 year old. Very poorly written with little useful information other than how he made it big with questionable MLM companies
like 2by2.net and Vemma.

This is so far for me, the best book on the Intel Galileo System which I think will be the best system for hobbyists and people interested in micro controller projects. Intel has gotten into the design of their components like they want to control this microprocessor hobby. I like the way the book is laid out by the author, as it covers most of the topics in a way which develops the reader to understand the design and component support from a hands on approach. His layout of the experiments will prepare the reader for a thorough knowledge of how the system works and will provide him/her with the preparation to use it for a better computer knowledge base and getting connected with sensors and the use of other end devices. I find it easy reading. This is a good book for using the Intel micro controller, with well chosen examples of your options, to understand the capabilities of the system and a good presentation of the Intel Galileo board. There are not too many books written at this time concerning Intel Galileo Gen 2. This is the best one I have found so far. Most of the others, are written from the perspective of a programmer and not system use design for a hobbyist. It is suitable for both beginners and a more experienced user and goes from basic materials and knowledge to final assembly of systems with the information for the integration of the hardware and software, with various kinds of types of project builds given as examples to follow, that make the book interesting for the reader. One can learn the basics of what is needed to get into the Intel Galileo system, as well as what to acquire first for learning and how all the components interact.

In 1800, just after the French Revolution, two hunters emerged from the forest of Aveyron carrying a pole between them. From it dangled a creature--a wild pig? A scrawny bear? The villagers were astonished to realize that this creature was a human child--filthy, naked, and mute--who had lived all his life alone in the woods like an animal. What could be learned by studying the mind of this completely unsocialized being? A committee of learned scientists concluded that he was an idiot and unteachable. But a little-known young doctor, Jean-Marc-Gaspard Itard, was convinced that he could teach the boy, whom he named Victor, to feel, think, and speak.

The fascinating, true story of the failed education of the "Savage of Aveyron" has been the subject of many nonfiction studies and of the 1970 film by Francois Truffaut, The Wild Child. Mordicai Gerstein further explores this intriguing subject in Victor (and also in a picture book for 4- to 8-year-olds, The Wild Boy). The turbulent years of Itard's attempt to humanize the feral boy are described from the viewpoints of the obsessive but compassionate doctor; his housekeeper, the warm-hearted Madame Guerin; the young housemaid Julie who fears the wild boy's nascent sexuality; and Victor himself, whose thoughts are a stream of sensory images entirely unbound by any perception of selfhood. In southern France in 1800, hunters capture a naked, filthy and speechless pre-adolescent boy, whom they bring into town slung from a pole. Eventually he is taken to Paris and placed in a school for deaf boys. There his alleged obliviousness to anything but food and nature cause doctors to label him an idiot, and he languishes, ignored, until a young doctor, Jean-Marc Itard, takes the boy into his care. Drawing on historical sources, Gerstein (The Wild Boy, reviewed above) gives an arresting account of Itard's variously enlightened and bumbling (at times, cruel) efforts to socialize the boy, whom he names Victor, and to control his subsequent "explosive puberty." This makes for compelling intellectual and social history, with a vividly limned setting, peppered with disquieting ruminations on the nature of humanity, God, love and sexuality, as well as gruesome tidbits about the French Revolution. As a novel, however, it is ultimately unsatisfying because Gerstein jumps ahead in time from the close of Itard's six-year study of Victor to a penultimate scene just before the subject's untimely death at age 40. Thus, he summarily disposes of his protagonists (e.g., a melodramatic subplot involving the housekeeper's daughter reads like a cobbled-on "teen problem" story, then peters out just as it gets interesting; Itard's one romance takes place off-stage). Rather than imagining the inner life of his characters, Gerstein keeps readers at arm's length; Victor and Itard remain enigmas. For mature readers. Ages 12-up.

Grade 9 Up-Based on the true story of a feral child captured in Revolutionary-era France and the doctor who attempted to civilize him, Victor offers an intense and intelligent look at the nature of humanity. Caught initially by two woodcutters in rural Aveyron, the boy is sent to Paris where he is studied and an attempt is made to teach him to communicate. Young Dr. Itard dubs his charge Victor, and sees in him an opportunity to prove that "the savage" is neither an idiot, nor incapable of "learning" humanity. He begins a rigorous regimen of experiments to awaken Victor to society and give him speech. The boy's progress is slow and troubled by increasing instances of his "explosive puberty" in which his intrusive masturbation disrupts lessons and raises Itard's ire. The doctor's methods are often Pavlovian and cruel, and ultimately unjust. Itard's housekeeper is the only one to show true affection for Victor. Characters are dispassionately distanced from readers, making it difficult to sympathize with their conflicts. Itard's ego, his own sexual frustrations, and his use of his pupil as a tool toward his own success make his status as hero educator somewhat ironic. Victor, himself, remains an enigma: his thoughts, rendered in short, often incomplete sentences offer little more than delight and happiness found in a slant of sun or sweetness of a berry. Both Victor's absence of self-reflection and the doctor's selfish idealism give fuel to the question of the nature of man, but provide rather disturbing answers. A dark, often complex novel for older readers that is well worth the time, effort, and thought that the subject demands.

A good book...for ADULTS

This is a very good book but I am highly disappointed in... age recommendation...ages 9 to 12? Parts of this book include attempted rape scenes and masturbation scenes. Although well written and a good case study for adults, it is not for children.

Must Read

This book is a must read for teachers, therapists, and anyone who works with children--especially damaged children. The educational approach is fascinating; the description of the boy's experience is touching. Just for clarity, this is a book for ADULT readers, not for children. Gerstein wrote a picture book on this subject (THE WILD BOY) which is appropriate and enjoyable for children.

Victor is one of the best books I've read in a long time (and I read a LOT). The issues presented will have readers talking and thinking about society, education, humankind, and mental health for a very long time.

Thought-provoking and right on target!

As Pema Chodron wrote "there are others that help us to stay present at the times we habitually shut down". In her book Knock...Knock...! Who Is There, author Monika Burwise has brilliantly captured this concept. This book couldn't have come into my life at a better time. It has reminded me to find stillness amidst yet another turbulent moment in my life. That if I remember that this too is all just another page in my journey and to simply embrace it rather than resist it, my suffering will dissipate. Thank you Monika for giving me such a great gift during this difficult time. Your words resonate profoundly. And while this book is deeply thought-provoking, I found it to be an easy read, which I believe should be when one is delving deep into their souls. Well done! I look forward to more of your published work.
