Who knew economics was interesting ?

I never thought I would enjoy reading something about a dry old boring topic like economics. But I am! I am also understanding things I gave up on. An informative and entertaining read that gets you thinking and asks some questions that really, really need to be asked.

a must read for every South African taxpayer...and politician

This book gives a lot of insight into the South African economy and how taxpayers money are spent, how they are over taxed and how the whole system can be improved. Every taxpayer in South Africa supports 9 people who don't pay tax, and new taxes like etolls seem to be invented yearly.
Dawie explains the basics of an economy so anyone can understand ... even politicians. He compares the South African economy with other countries and illustrates how a simpler tax system can also be more effective. A brilliant book, read it!
